ADSB & Weather Avoidance
I came across the post below and thought it raised an interesting point about the limitations of ADS-B and XM weather.
I’m interested in hearing how members approach weather avoidance when enroute.
How do you use ADS-B weather once you're enroute?
Do you have personal minimums for how far you stay from cells shown on ADS-B?
How much do you rely on visual observations, ATC, pireps, or other resources when deviating around weather?
Have you ever encountered a situation where the ADS-B picture was significantly different from what you saw out the windshield?
I'd love to hear some real-world experiences and lessons learned.
