The airspace "MISFIT"
On a recent flight to the Atlanta area in 9RN, I was reminded of an airspace dinosaur that (like alligators, I guess) has survived through the ages: the TRSA. I landed at Aiken, SC, then continued the flight over to the south Atlanta area (Griffin, GA), and on the way flew through the Augusata TRSA. I was VFR and found myself a l,ittle uneasy about how confiedent I was about whther I should call them up or not. I didn't...was I correct?! Well, turns out I was just fine - check out this video for a short reminder of "The Airspace That Time Forgot"!😎

Doing only airline flying for decades, I never really paid any attention to airspace. When I returned to GA, things changed! I was a bit surprised to see the old TRSA still a thing. While it isn’t required to talk to them, I do think it’s a good idea.
Good video Duncan!
This is the crash that Duncan covered at the last meeting and we talked about the advisory glideslope.
