So chime in: how many of you have a quick way handy to reference rate of climb for required climb performance, such as david's table?

Or do you just plan to pull it from published info, such as the terminal procedures supplement? (or, maybe do the numbers in your head with a rule of thumb?)

How often have you needed to reference this info in the past, say, year or so? What was the scenario? What did you learn from needing to check it?
